About Jerry Gargiulo 

 Jerry Gargiulo is a  psychotherapist  and psychoanalyst with a focus on adults and adolescents. He has been in practice for over forty five years and presently has offices in Stamford, Ct.

His work is informed by a deep humanism and appreciation of the many dimensions of what it means to be a person. His blog, The Therapist’s Corner, as well as his many popular articles, reflect such commitments. His work is informed by a psychodynamic as well as humanistic understanding of the human situation.

Dr. Gargiulo is the author of four texts and over a hundred and twenty five articles. His has studied the relationship between spirituality and psychoanalysis, which he wrote about in two books, Soul On The Couch, and Psyche, Self and Soul . His Broken Father/Broken Sons is  a autobiographical memoir. His latest text Quantum Psychoanalysis: Essays on Physics, Mind and Psychotherapy Today relates dynamic psychotherapy with contemporary quantum metaphors for which he won the  2017 Gradiva Award for best psychoanalytic text. Dr Gargiulo is also a published poet.

Dr. Gargiulo is a graduate of as well as a former President of the Training Institute of The National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis. He is a former President of The International Forum for Psychoanalytic Education as well as a former President of The Council of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists.

Dr. Gargiulo is a faculty member as well as supervisor at the Training Institute of the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis (NPAP), as well as the Westchester Center for The Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (WCSPP). Dr Gargiulo studied with Theodor Reik, one of the major voices of psychoanalysis in America and a former student of Freud.
